Our customers do not want a demo. They want an AI system running inside their environment, on their data, in their dialect, and delivering results by next quarter. That is this role.
The RoleAs an AI Solution Engineer, you work directly with our customers. You do not hand work off to a delivery team after the sale. You embed with the customer's people, learn how their operations actually run, and ship production AI into their stack: their telephony, their CRM, their ERP, their on-prem data center.
You do the work of an engineer, a consultant and a product owner at the same time. You write the code. You sit in the room with the director of customer care or the head of digital transformation. Then you come back and tell our product team what the next ten customers will need.
What You'll Do Own deployments end to end. Take a customer from scoping and proof of concept to a production go-live with measurable outcomes. This covers architecture, integration, configuration, testing and handover. * Build at the customer edge. Write production-grade integrations with systems like Genesys, Avaya, Oracle Fusion, SAP, IBM FileNet, Salesforce and custom government platforms. Build APIs, connectors, data pipelines and agent workflows that make our products fit each customer's reality. * Design agentic solutions. Turn messy business processes into AI agents that work: voice and chat agents, RAG over Arabic documents, tool-using agents, human-in-the-loop review, and QA and analytics with our Observer agent. * Deploy in sovereign environments. Ship into on-prem, air-gapped and in-Kingdom cloud environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware), while meeting PDPL, NCA and data residency requirements. * Make Arabic work. Tune prompts, evaluation sets and flows for Saudi, Gulf, Egyptian and Levantine dialects as well as MSA, and measure quality with real customer data instead of benchmarks. * Lead technical pre-sales. Run discovery workshops, build tailored POCs in days rather than months, write solution architectures and technical proposal sections for RFPs and Etimad tenders, and answer the hard questions from the customer's CTO. * Be the voice of the field. Turn repeated customer patterns into reusable components, playbooks and product requirements. If you build the same thing three times, it should become part of the product. * Enable partners.* Work alongside partner engineering teams (ELM, IBM, Red Hat, system integrators) so they can deliver Velents solutions at scale.
What You Bring 4+ years of software engineering experience, with real production systems shipped, preferably in a customer-facing role (forward deployed engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect or technical consultant). * Strong Python and/or TypeScript. You are comfortable with REST and event-driven APIs, SQL, Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux. * Hands-on experience building with LLMs: prompt design, RAG, embeddings and vector stores, function and tool calling, agent frameworks, and evaluation. You know where LLMs fail and how to design around those failures. * Enterprise integration experience. You have connected systems that were never designed to talk to each other. * The ability to explain a system architecture to an engineer and its business value to an executive in the same meeting. * Native or fluent Arabic and fluent English.* You will work in both, in writing and in the room. * High ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You figure out what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting to be told. * Willingness to travel and to spend extended periods on-site with customers.
