Role Description The Accountant role at Shawky Company is a full-time, on-site position based in Qesm El Maadi. The individual in this role will handle daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The Accountant will prepare financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. This role also involves working closely with other departments to provide financial insights, respond to inquiries, and support internal controls and audit requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in financial accounting, including general ledger management, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes.
* Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
* Understanding of local tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and basic audit principles.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
* Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a corporate or business setting.
