Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial statements. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role involves preparing reports for management, assisting with tax and regulatory compliance, and coordinating with external auditors as needed. The Accountant will also help improve internal controls, streamline accounting procedures, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Amman.
Qualifications
- * Strong skills in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, invoicing, and payment tracking.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles to support financial planning and analysis.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and support for audit procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines reliably.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to interpret financial data and provide clear insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with legal and administrative teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is beneficial but not required.
