Key Result Areas:
Corporate Governance
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of the Qatar Foundation (QF) Governance Manual and related policies and procedures, in collaboration with the Operational Excellence (OE) department.
- Support the drafting and updating of governance documents, ensuring consistency with approved frameworks and templates.
- Assist in documenting decisions and resolutions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Play a key role in drafting and developing corporate documentation to support activities and facilitate effective decision-making.
- Assist in providing governance-related support and guidance to the Hiring Department, promoting adherence to ethical standards and corporate values.
- Prepare policies and procedures related to Members’ orientation and workshops.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of governance tracking tools for monitoring meeting outcomes and implementation progress.
- Support quality assurance reviews of governance documentation and related meeting outcomes prepared by the Hiring Department.
- Assist in the collection and preparation of data and materials for executive-level reports concerning governance activities.
- Participate in the drafting and review of internal policies and procedures related to governance operations within the Hiring Department.
Compliance
- Support adherence to legal and regulatory requirements by assisting in the development and implementation of compliance programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Assist in conducting compliance assessments for QF’s affiliated entities, documenting findings and following up on required actions.
- Support liaison efforts with the QF Legal department to facilitate the legal review process of decisions and related documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in corporate governance and compliance.
- Help monitor the implementation of compliance programs through regular reviews and updates to ensure continued effectiveness.
- Support the coordination and documentation of governance and compliance communications.
- Perform the Hiring Department Champion role as assigned by the line supervisor and in alignment with applicable departmental guidelines and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience::
- Bachelor’s degree in in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of work experience in corporate governance and compliance, with a strong background in legal documentation and policy development.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in corporate governance and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal and regulatory research, policy drafting, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong ethical judgment and integrity.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing governance, compliance, and risk issues.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
