Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication of steel structures, frames, brackets, supports, and other metal components.
- Carry out MIG/MAG, ARC, and other welding processes as required.
- Cut, shape, grind, and prepare steel materials for welding.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting and fabrication.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure strength, quality, and accuracy.
- Identify and repair welding defects when required.
- Assemble and install fabricated steel components according to specifications.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Perform routine maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with the maintenance and technical teams to complete tasks on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Steel Welder or Fabricator.
- Practical experience in steel welding and metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG and ARC welding techniques; TIG welding is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Knowledge of steel materials, welding joints, and fabrication methods.
- Familiarity with welding tools, cutting machines, and grinding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant welding certification or technical training is an advantage.
