To lead ABC’s Treasury and Insurance agenda, ensuring sufficient liquidity, efficient funding, effective cash and foreign-exchange risk management, and appropriate insurance protection for the business. The role safeguards financial assets, optimises financing and banking costs, ensures compliance with HEINEKEN policies and applicable Central Bank of Egypt requirements, and drives a strong cash culture through effective governance, business partnering, digitalisation and team leadership.
Liquidity & Cash Management
- Own short- and medium-term liquidity planning, ensuring sufficient funding to meet operational, investment, tax, financing and dividend obligations.
- Lead the rolling cash-flow forecast by currency and legal entity, challenge business inputs, explain material variances and improve forecast accuracy.
- Optimise cash positions across bank accounts, entities and currencies, balancing liquidity, risk, return and operational requirements.
- Provide clear, timely visibility of cash balances, expected inflows and outflows, funding gaps and surplus positions.
- Drive working-capital visibility and partner with relevant functions to identify and deliver sustainable cash-generation opportunities.
Funding & Capital Management
- * Develop and execute the company’s funding strategy, assessing funding requirements, sources, cost, tenor, currency and associated risks.
- Maintain adequate banking facilities and contingency liquidity to support business continuity and future growth.
- Evaluate financing alternatives and provide recommendations to the Finance Director and relevant governance forums.
- Manage short-term investments of surplus cash within approved policies, limits and maturity requirements.
- Manage the dividend payment process and related funding, documentation and regulatory requirements.
Foreign Exchange & Financial Risk Management
- * Own the identification, consolidation, forecasting and reporting of foreign-exchange exposures across the business.
- Recommend and execute approved hedging strategies in line with HEINEKEN policy, local regulations and delegated authorities.
- Monitor hedge effectiveness, maturity profiles and residual exposures, escalating material risks and changes promptly.
- Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial and other functions to improve the completeness, timing and quality of currency forecasts.
- Provide scenario analysis and recommendations to support significant commercial, procurement, investment and financing decisions.
Banking & Treasury Operations
- * Manage the company’s banking architecture, including bank selection, account rationalisation, mandates, facilities, service quality and relationship performance.
- Lead periodic negotiations of interest rates, bank fees, guarantees, collection services, credit facilities and other treasury arrangements.
- Ensure the availability of funds and the accurate, timely execution of treasury operations and payment obligations.
- Ensure bank, interest and treasury-related reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, with exceptions investigated and resolved.
- Oversee secure, efficient and cost-effective cash collection and banking arrangements across the business.
- Manage bank guarantees, letters of credit and other financial instruments within approved policies and authorities.
Insurance Management
- * Lead the annual review and renewal of the company’s insurance portfolio, ensuring coverage remains appropriate for the company’s risk profile and business activities.
- Partner with HEINEKEN Group Insurance, brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to identify material insurable risks and determine appropriate coverage.
- Evaluate policy limits, exclusions, deductibles, premiums and risk-retention options to optimise protection and total cost.
- Govern the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely notification, complete documentation, active follow-up and effective settlement.
- Monitor claims trends and insurance incidents, identify root causes and support preventive risk-reduction actions.
- Maintain complete and accurate insurance records, asset information, exposure data and policy documentation.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
- * Establish and maintain an effective treasury control framework covering bank mandates, payment authorities, segregation of duties, account administration, reconciliations, confirmations and transaction approvals.
- Ensure compliance with delegated authorities, HEINEKEN treasury and insurance policies, internal control requirements and applicable Central Bank of Egypt regulations.
- Monitor relevant regulatory developments, assess implications for ABC and coordinate timely implementation of required changes.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, audit trails and control evidence, and address audit or control deficiencies on time.
- Own treasury business-continuity arrangements, including payment, banking and key-person contingencies.
- Monitor bank and counterparty exposure within approved limits and escalate material risks.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- * Drive the automation and digitalisation of treasury processes, reporting, cash visibility, forecasting, payments and bank connectivity.
- Simplify and standardise processes to improve control, efficiency, data quality and decision support.
- Define and monitor Treasury and Insurance performance indicators, using insights to improve outcomes and address recurring issues.
- Promote secure and efficient electronic payment and collection solutions across the business.
- Identify and implement best practices that strengthen operational resilience and release capacity for higher-value work.
Leadership & Business Partnering
- * Build a capable, engaged and accountable Treasury and Insurance team with clear roles, priorities and performance expectations.
- Develop technical, commercial and leadership capabilities within the team and maintain robust succession and development plans.

- Act as the company’s subject-matter expert on cash, liquidity, banking, foreign exchange and insurance matters.
