Physical Therapist - Contract Position
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, offering flexibility with either a 5x8 schedule (Monday to Friday) or a 4-day workweek.
Job Description
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing patient assessments and treatment, focusing on promoting mobility, rehabilitation, and overall health improvement. The role requires comprehensive evaluations of patients and the formulation of individualized rehabilitation plans, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients' motor and developmental skills.
Create and document rehabilitation plans of care based on patient evaluations and physician referrals.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
Facilitate patient mobility through therapeutic exercises and safe patient handling techniques.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Provide mentorship and training to physical therapist assistants and support staff.
Engage in professional development activities and continuing education.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience.
Current NC Board of Physical Therapy license is required.
Experience in travel healthcare is required.
EPIC charting experience is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
