Job Purpose
The Quality Controller ensures that all raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for executing lab tests, product inspections, monitoring CCPs, and supporting corrective actions to maintain food safety and product quality across all production lines.
Key Responsibilities
1- Quality Inspection & Testing
•Conduct in-process inspections and final product testing to ensure compliance with GYR specifications.
•Perform laboratory tests including salt, oil, moisture content, and microbiological assessments.
•Collect, store, and manage representative samples for traceability, quality verification, and export compliance.
•Ensure accurate documentation of test results and corrective actions.
2- Non-Conformity & Corrective Action
•Identify non-conforming products, isolate them, and coordinate root cause analysis.
•Implement corrective and preventive actions following internal protocols.
•Maintain CCP monitoring in alignment with HACCP standards.
•Report food safety violations to the QA Supervisor and ensure timely resolution.
Hygiene & Pest Control
•Monitor sanitation and cleaning procedures in production areas.
•Check pest control measures and report any issues.
•Ensure adherence to personal hygiene and protective measures by production staff.
3- Training & Compliance
•Conduct food safety and hygiene training for production staff.
•Evaluate training effectiveness and compliance with established procedures.
•Ensure raw materials meet quality specifications before production.
4- Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain accurate QC and lab test records in QA software systems.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare detailed reports for supervisors and management.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required, in line with the scope, level, and objectives of the role.
Job Requirements
• Education: Technical or university degree in Biology, Food Science, or related discipline.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in food quality control or laboratory testing.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of food manufacturing QC procedures.
Ability to perform chemical, physical, and microbiological tests.
Familiarity with HACCP, CCP, and ISO 22000.
Sample management, traceability, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in QA software and MS Office.
• Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
