Role Description The Junior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut. This position supports daily accounting operations, including recording transactions in the accounting system, processing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with bank reconciliations. The Junior Accountant helps prepare basic financial reports, maintains organized documentation, and supports month-end and year-end closing procedures. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve accounting queries, ensuring accurate data entry, and complying with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- * Foundational accounting skills, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel for spreadsheets and basic analysis).
- Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow established processes, and apply basic financial and tax concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior internship or junior experience in accounting, preferably in trading, automotive, or industrial sectors, is an advantage.
- Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Fluency in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
