Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will deliver comprehensive clinical nursing care in alignment with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Essential Duties:
Education:
Engage in identifying and addressing personal learning needs.
Attend educational programs to meet identified requirements.
Utilize relevant patient education materials with guidance.
Assess and recognize the readiness to learn of patients, families, and caregivers.
Evaluate the developmental level of patients and factors influencing their learning ability.
Evaluation of Care:
Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for revisions to care plans.
Participate in discussions with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate patient care.
Communicate essential information to facilitate continuity of care.
Implementation:
Demonstrate competency in caring for patients with complex conditions.
Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
Adhere to healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
Consult with appropriate resources for complex patient care issues.
Leadership:
Collaborate with others to develop professional growth goals.
Achieve specified goals within a designated timeframe.
Facilitate intra/interdepartmental collaboration.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives and promote cost-effective care.
Provide constructive feedback to coworkers.
Stay informed on public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting healthcare.
