Cardiovascular Sonographer
Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Sonographer demonstrates competence in delivering both pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, emergency cardiac care (CPR certification required), and assisting with post-procedure transport as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Calibrate and maintain equipment daily, performing and recording all necessary maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems to the appropriate supervisor.

Generate ultrasound images of the heart and related vascular structures.

Participate in staff training and education as needed.

Monitor and record patient information, maintaining report storage and data systems; compile and enter data for charge entry, prepare reports, and retrieve stored information from automated systems.

Prepare and ensure the timely and efficient setup of the procedure room and equipment for daily use.
Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Cardiovascular Sonographer/Echocardiographer.

Experience with outpatient cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).

Epic electronic health record experience is required.
Education
- Accredited Associate’s Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program is required.

Full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
