Training Compliance OfficerSukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements.
The Role
The Training Compliance Officer supports the Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability function at AngloGold Ashanti’s Sukari operation by ensuring that all site HSES training requirements are compliant. The role is responsible for maintaining training systems, records and delivery requirements so that employees, contractors and visitors receive the required induction, refresher and role-specific training within defined timeframes.
This position contributes to hazard awareness, legal compliance, emergency preparedness and operational control by coordinating training programmes, monitoring training effectiveness, reviewing competency and supporting accurate reporting and record control across the site.

The Key Responsibilities
The Requirements
* Scientific degree in Science, Agriculture, Engineering or similar
* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent experience
* Train the Trainer certificate
* 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
* Excellent knowledge of Egyptian HSES legislation and its application to mining activities
* Ability to deliver HSES-specific training courses
* Good command of English
* Microsoft Office proficiency
* Ability to write and present reports
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse groups
* LV site and mine licence
* Work permit and site induction awareness
