As a Conveyor Belt Foreman / Technician, you will be responsible for functionally coordinating and further developing this specialist discipline. You will work on more than 70 kilometres of conveyor belts, together with a close-knit, young team with a strong team spirit. The team is responsible for maintaining the conveyor belts and ensuring maximum production availability. You will ensure that maintenance is carried out efficiently, safely and to a high standard. At the same time, you will contribute to the future development of this specialist field.
Responsibilities
- You will work on more than 70 kilometres of conveyor belts, together with a close-knit, young team with a strong team spirit.
- The team is responsible for maintaining the conveyor belts and ensuring maximum production availability.
- You will ensure that maintenance is carried out efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
- At the same time, you will contribute to the future development of this specialist field.
- You will work with different techniques, including:
- Pulling the belt using a winch, shovel or forklift
- The old belt is removed sideways. This is an intensive process requiring significant preparation, space and clean-up work.
- Pulling the belt using a reel machine – preferred method
- This is an innovative and safer method where the belt is rolled up directly. It requires less space and is more efficient and sustainable.
- Once the new belt has been installed, the most specialist part of the work follows: vulcanising.
Qualifications
- You have at least an MBO-2 qualification in a technical field.

- You have technical insight and experience in maintenance or mechanical work.
- You work safely and systematically and think ahead.
- You communicate clearly and work well with colleagues.
- You are hands-on and are not afraid of challenging work.
