Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Commercial Flooring Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing tender packages, technical specifications, and architectural drawings to deliver tailored commercial flooring solutions across workplace, healthcare, hospitality, and educational projects. You will prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), develop commercial proposals, recommend sustainable materials, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from tender submission to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth technical knowledge of commercial flooring systems (e.g., Carpet Tiles, LVT/SPC, Vinyl/Linoleum, Raised Access Flooring, Epoxy, and Underlayments), including performance standards, wear ratings, and acoustic/slip ratings.
- Review architectural layouts, subfloor conditions, tender specifications, and client briefs to select the optimal flooring solution matching design intent, foot-traffic load, and budget.
- Accurately interpret BOQs, calculate material take-offs (accounting for wastage and pattern repeats), prepare itemized commercial quotations, and offer value-engineering alternatives when necessary.
- Align product selections with sustainability standards, environmental certifications (e.g., Cradle to Cradle, FloorScore, Low VOC), and project LEED/WELL compliance requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical submittals, compliance sheets, sample boards, and formal presentations for clients, project management consultants, and contractors.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Design, Procurement, Logistics, and Site Installation teams to ensure seamless material delivery and installation compliance.
