Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Office Engineer with strong expertise in technical documentation, drawings review, quantity take-off, BOQ, technical coordination, and project engineering support. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure that technical requirements are properly reviewed and implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
โข Prepare and review quantity take-offs, BOQs, and project quantities.
โข Review Shop Drawings and coordinate required comments and technical revisions.
โข Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) with consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
โข Review and follow up on Material Submittals and technical documentation prior to execution.
โข Identify clashes and discrepancies between drawings and engineering disciplines and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
โข Coordinate with project teams, site teams, consultants, and contractors regarding technical requirements.
โข Monitor technical changes and revisions and maintain updated project records and drawings.
โข Support site teams in resolving technical issues during project execution.
โข Prepare and review technical reports and follow up on outstanding technical comments and corrective actions.
โข Support the review of executed quantities and payment-related documentation when required.
โข Review and follow up on As-Built Drawings and ensure proper updates and project handover documentation.
โข Maintain organized technical records, drawings, correspondence, and project documentation.
โข Support the development and continuous improvement of technical office procedures and templates.
โข Ensure compliance with approved technical standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
โข Bachelorโs degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
โข 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Technical Office or construction project engineering.
โข Strong experience in drawings review, quantity take-off, specifications, and BOQ.
โข Experience with Shop Drawings, RFIs, Material Submittals, and As-Built Drawings.
โข Good knowledge of construction processes, site execution, and multidisciplinary coordination.
โข Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
โข Experience with Revit or relevant BIM tools is preferred.
โข Strong ability to read, review, and analyze technical drawings and documents.
โข Strong analytical, problem-solving, follow-up, and documentation skills.
โข Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
โข Good communication and coordination skills with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
โข Experience in real estate development or construction is preferred.
โข Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
