Role Description The Tea Specialist & Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Shuwaikh. This role focuses on preparing and serving a variety of high-quality teas and related beverages, following established recipes and presentation standards. The Tea Specialist & Barista will engage with customers, explain tea varieties and brewing methods, and provide a welcoming, professional service experience. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining beverage equipment, ensuring cleanliness and food safety in the preparation area, managing stock levels for tea and related supplies, and supporting basic food preparation tasks as needed. The role also involves working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a smooth, efficient service operation during peak hours.
Qualifications
* Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming and respectful environment.
* Practical Barista experience with tea and hot/cold beverages, including basic Food Preparation knowledge and attention to hygiene and safety standards.
* Effective Communication skills to explain tea offerings, take orders clearly, and collaborate with team members.
* Ability to work on-site in Shuwaikh on a full-time schedule, including flexibility for weekends or peak service times as required.
* Previous experience in a café, tea shop, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
* Basic understanding of different tea types, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles, with willingness to learn and grow in tea expertise.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced service environment.
