About the assignment
The Verification / HIL Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the system and subsystem RIG environment. This includes ensuring that rigs are kept on the correct software baseline and configured with the required hardware and software components. The role also owns the verification team’s inventory, including newly purchased items such as test phones, engineering tools, and spare components such as media converters and routers. In addition, the role supports verification activities whenever time permits.
Main Responsibilities
-Maintain RIGs with the correct software baseline and required hardware and software components.
-Ensure rig configurations are up to date, documented, and aligned with verification requirements.
-Manage the verification team’s inventory.
-Track stock levels, usage, and replenishment needs.
-Coordinate storage, labeling, and availability of inventory items.
-Support verification activities when time is available.
-Hold recurring meetings to collect input on future RIG needs and support requirements for existing RIGs, including updates to components and enablers.
-Assist in troubleshooting rig- and inventory-related issues as needed.
-Maintain records, documentation, and status updates for rigs and inventory.
-Collaborate with verification engineers and other stakeholders to support efficient test operations.
-Prepare and present regular updates to project management on verification status, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.
-Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the verification team, encouraging problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
-Experience in hardware verification, HIL environments, or test lab maintenance.
-Good understanding of SWDL, software baselines, hardware components, and test infrastructure.
-Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
-Basic hands-on verification or test execution experience is an advantage.
-Good communication and documentation skills.
Good to have:
-Automative and Infotainment Experience.
-Hands on experience in SWDL, OTA .
