Our client, a leading international technology company, is looking for an architect to develop advanced performance technologies across the operating system, hardware, and chipset layers. The role focuses on core platform areas including scheduling, kernel optimisation, power and thermal management, application responsiveness, and overall system performance.
Responsibilities
- Design joint optimisation and system scheduling solutions spanning software, hardware, and chipset
- Develop and tune CPU, GPU, and memory scheduling, frequency scaling, and resource allocation, balancing performance, power, and thermal limits
- Diagnose and fix OS-level bottlenecks that affect application responsiveness and animation smoothness
- Design and optimise high-performance system modules, APIs, runtimes, and application frameworks
- Follow industry and academic developments and translate relevant findings into future technical roadmaps
- Take solutions from concept and architecture through to deployment on end-user devices
Requirements
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following: OS or kernel performance optimisation, CPU/GPU/memory scheduling, hardware-software or chipset co-optimisation, power and thermal-aware scheduling, runtime and application performance, or high-performance framework design
- Strong understanding of operating system architecture and performance fundamentals
- Demonstrated success in resolving complex performance bottlenecks with measurable results
- Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Linux, Android, kernel scheduling etc.
