Company overview
NATCOM helps industrial customers improve reliability, productivity, and operating performance through industrial technologies and engineering services across Egypt and MENA.
Role purpose
NATCOM is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Specialist to manage purchasing, imports, local supply, and inventory for our industrial products and services.
The specialist manages orders from approved requirements through supplier ordering, follow-up, freight, Egyptian customs clearance, receipt, stock control, and delivery handover. They coordinate with partners, suppliers, forwarders, customs brokers, Finance, sales, and technical teams.
This includes approved equipment, spares, consumables, and supplier services for NATCOM's technical work and demonstrations. General office expenses, furniture, and administrative purchasing are excluded.
Key responsibilities
• Review approved requirements with sales and technical teams. Confirm product codes, specifications, quantities, service scope, and delivery dates before ordering.
• Compare supplier quotations, availability, payment terms, and delivery conditions. Resolve discrepancies and obtain required commercial approvals.
• Issue supplier purchase orders within NATCOM's approval process. Link customer purchases to customer orders and identify approved internal purchases separately.
• Obtain written supplier acknowledgements, confirm production or stock availability, and follow up until goods are ready for dispatch or services are scheduled.
• Coordinate advance, staged, and balance payments with Finance against approved terms and documents. Flag payments that could delay production or shipment.
• Arrange collection, freight, and transport insurance where required. Compare transport options against delivery needs, shipment characteristics, cost, and agreed shipping terms.
• Check commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading or air waybills, and other required documents for consistency before shipment and clearance.
• Coordinate applicable pre-shipment registration through Nafeza and the Advance Cargo Information system. Track shipment identification numbers and overseas suppliers' CargoX document submissions where required.
• Manage Egyptian customs clearance with the appointed broker. Coordinate classification checks, permits, inspections, and duty and tax payment requests with responsible teams through to release.
• Manage local purchases and supplier services against specifications, approved terms, delivery commitments, and evidence of receipt or completion.
• Maintain an order and shipment schedule. Flag delays, missing documents, cost changes, and supply risks early, with next actions and revised delivery estimates.
• Coordinate warehouse receipt and delivery to customers or service teams. Check quantities and condition against orders, record partial receipts, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Record stock quantities, serial numbers, locations, receipts, issues, transfers, and returns accurately. Retain delivery notes and obtain technical confirmation of supplier service completion.
• Coordinate physical stock counts, reconcile them with inventory records, and investigate discrepancies.
• Resolve shortages, incorrect items, transport damage, and supplier claims. Coordinate approved returns, replacements, and warranty cases with suppliers and the technical team.
• Maintain supplier-order and shipment files with acknowledgements, payment terms, shipping references, delivery dates, and documents.
• Reconcile supplier and logistics invoices against approved orders and receipt records with Finance. Track total delivered cost, including freight and clearance charges, and explain variances.
• Complete delivery and document handover, following unresolved balances, claims, or missing items to closure.
