Sumer Hills, part of Raban Al Safina Group, is seeking a Managing Director to lead a large construction and contracting business delivering complex projects across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Set company strategy, operating plans and financial targets, with accountability for business performance and project profitability.
Direct the project portfolio, aligning engineering, procurement, construction, commercial and support functions.
Establish project governance for scope, schedules, cost forecasts, risk, quality and health, safety and environment.
Allocate management teams, labour, plant and subcontractors across concurrent projects and resolve delivery constraints.
Oversee tender evaluation, contract negotiation, variations, claims, cash flow and client payment recovery.
Lead senior client and partner relationships, business development and management reporting.
Requirements
Proven executive leadership of a sizeable construction or contracting company, beyond responsibility for a single project.
Direct experience delivering large, complex construction programmes or megaprojects with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Strong operations and project management capability across engineering, procurement, site execution and handover.
Demonstrated responsibility for profit and loss, commercial decisions, working capital and project financial performance.
Ability to lead project directors and functional heads, manage subcontractors and recover delayed or underperforming projects.
Sound technical understanding of civil, structural, architectural and building services interfaces.
Preferred: A relevant engineering or construction management degree; advanced business or project management qualifications and experience establishing portfolio controls.
