Main Responsibilities – Structural Engineering, BIM, And Project Delivery
- Lead and contribute to the structural design of buildings, bridges, and critical infrastructure using Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Prepare calculations, detailed drawings, and digital models for reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and composite structures.
- Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM), advanced analysis software, and parametric design tools to drive precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure integrated, buildable structural solutions that meet project goals.
- Participate in design reviews, site inspections, and the technical appraisal of submittals to ensure quality and compliance at all project stages.
- Contribute to sustainability strategies, including embodied carbon reduction and circular design, enhancing the environmental performance of SSE's projects.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, tender documentation, and design risk assessments in line with current regulations and best practice.
- Champion health and safety, promoting compliance and safe structural design procedures across all activities.
What You Bring – Structural Design Skills, Software Proficiency & Teamwork
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Relevant experience in the design of building or infrastructure structures, ideally within a consultancy or multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
- Proficiency in structural analysis/modelling software (e.g., ETABS, Tekla, Revit, Robot, TEDDS) and a strong grasp of BIM methodologies.
- Sound understanding of relevant codes, standards, and construction techniques used in the KSA or internationally.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse, multidisciplinary project teams.
- Effective communicator, able to engage clearly with colleagues, project stakeholders, and clients at all stages of a project.
- Innovative mindset, with a drive for continuous professional development and adaptability to emerging industry technologies.
