Role Overview
The role combines solution/application architecture with hands-on technical and R&D capabilities. The candidate will own solution design and design assurance for assigned applications/domains, while contributing to modernization, PoCs, engineering improvements, and emerging technology initiatives.
Experience: 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, including 3+ years in solution/application architecture or technical design roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive solution design for assigned applications, ensuring scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures.
- Participate in technical grooming, feasibility assessment, HLD/LLD design and assurance.
- Define and review APIs, integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
- Ensure key NFRs including performance, scalability, resilience, security, and observability.
- Assess technical options and support architecture decisions.
- Identify and drive modernization, optimization, and reusable solution opportunities.
- Build/evaluate PoCs to validate design decisions and new technologies.
- Contribute to engineering automation, AI enablement, and R&D initiatives.
- Collaborate with Development, SDO, Integration, DevOps, Security, and other technical teams.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Java & Spring Boot.
- Strong application/solution architecture and microservices experience.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API design, and integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of data access technologies such as JPA/Hibernate.
- Good experience with Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Oracle NoSQL.
- Good knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Good understanding of performance, scalability, resilience, security, and observability.
- Exposure to containers, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and solution-design skills.
- .NET familiarity.
- Cloud-native/Kubernetes experience.
- AI/LLM and engineering automation exposure.
- Experience in modernization and legacy-to-microservices transformation.
