We’re a mission-driven company at the intersection of healthcare and technology, and we’re looking for a Software Business Analyst (3 - 5 years experience) to help us translate business and customer needs into clear, actionable product features.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical and communication skills with a solid understanding of software development. Experience in Healthcare IT, particularly radiology and medical imaging, will be a strong advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and validate requirements from customers, stakeholders, product teams, and management.
- Lead requirements elicitation through stakeholder discussions, workshops, interviews, and workflow analysis.
- Translate business needs into user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation using Azure DevOps.
- Analyze business and clinical workflows, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, process flows, and workflow diagrams to communicate proposed functionality.
- Define clear and testable acceptance criteria, including business rules, alternative flows, exceptions, and edge cases.
- Support backlog refinement and prioritization by considering business value, impact, dependencies, and requirement readiness.
- Collaborate with developers, QC, and UI/UX Designer to ensure requirements are understood, feasible, and implemented as intended.
- Work with technical teams to understand and document integrations, APIs, data flows, mappings, and interface requirements.
- Support UAT, product demonstrations, release validation, defect review, and post-release feedback.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain consistency and traceability across requirements and changes.
- Build a strong understanding of our products and customer workflows, enabling you to challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and recommend better solutions; not simply document requests.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a Software Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, user flows, and functional documentation.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience working directly with customers and translating business problems into software requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, dependencies, and edge cases.
- Excellent written and spoken English, particularly for customer communication and functional documentation.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple features and competing priorities while balancing business value and technical constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Healthcare IT, particularly radiology, medical imaging, or imaging informatics, is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare and radiology workflows involving systems such as PACS, RIS, EHR/EMR, VNA, reporting systems, or other clinical applications.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and protocols such as DICOM, HL7 v2, and FHIR.
- Familiarity with healthcare integration concepts, including patient demographics, ADT, orders, results, accession numbers, imaging studies, and system-to-system data mapping.
- Familiarity with BPMN and/or UML for business process and system modelling.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for backlog, requirements, and work-item management.
- Basic understanding of databases, APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based software architectures.
- Awareness of healthcare data privacy, security, auditability, and information-governance requirements.
