Position: Site Engineer – Bahrain (Doors & Joinery)
Position Overview:
As a Site Engineer – Doors & Joinery at UNICO MEA, you will be responsible for overseeing the site installation of doors and joinery works, ensuring that works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and coordinate the installation of doors, joinery, and related works on site.
· Review shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements before and during installation.
· Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
· Conduct site measurements and verify site conditions before installation.
· Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
· Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and specifications.
· Prepare and submit Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and follow up to obtain consultant/client approvals.
· Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and installation activities.
· Identify and resolve technical and site execution issues.
· Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and relevant documentation.
· Follow up on snagging, rectification, and final completion of works.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of doors, joinery, and interior fit-out works.
· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
· Good knowledge of site installation methods, measurements, and construction details.
· Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
· Ability to manage site activities and work under pressure.
Qualifications:
· Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably in doors, joinery, or interior fit-out projects.
· Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
· Bahrain project experience is an advantage.
· Willingness to work on site in Bahrain and travel between project locations as required.
· A team player, adaptable, and able to meet project deadlines.
