Role Description The Senior User Interface Designer will lead the design of intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for web and digital applications that support Mona Trading’s industrial and commercial operations. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility for partial work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating UI layouts and design systems, producing high-fidelity mockups, and collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and developers to translate requirements into user-friendly designs. The role involves conducting design reviews, refining user flows, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines, and working closely with front-end teams to ensure accurate implementation of UI specifications. The Senior UI Designer will also mentor junior designers, contribute to design best practices, and help improve overall user experience across digital touchpoints.
Qualifications
- Strong user interface design skills, including User Interface Design and Visual Design for web and digital products.
- Ability to create clear, detailed design artifacts, including Mockups, style guides, and design systems.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, including User Experience (UX) research, workflows, and interaction patterns.
- Working knowledge of Front-End Development concepts to effectively collaborate with engineering teams on implementation.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and collaboration platforms.
- Experience designing complex, data-rich or industrial/business applications is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across onsite and remote collaboration.
- Several years of experience in UI/UX or product design roles, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
