Job Summary
The Senior Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical office activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and approved designs. The role oversees shop drawings, quantity surveying, material submittals, progress reporting, invoices, variation orders, claims, and as-built drawings, while providing technical support to site teams. The position also coordinates closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth and timely project execution.
Responsibilities
- Study and analyze project contract documents (time schedule, design drawings, BOQ, specifications, etc.) to ensure
- project compliance.
- Complete, review, check, and approve all shop drawings prepared by the team before submission to the consultant.
- Prepare/update site progress reports in close coordination with the site team and highlight risks or delays.
- Review Civil & architecture drawings and complete technical coordination required between different disciplines.
- Complete QS required and updated relevant BOQ
- Ensure the site team is provided with the latest approved drawings, specifications, and technical instructions
- Prepare and review material submittals to meet project requirements and coordinate with procurement.
- Prepare, review, and issue periodic client and sub-contractors running invoices as per contractual terms.
- Lead the preparation of variation orders, claims, and cost impacts, and follow up with the consultant till approval.
- Complete, review and approve as-built drawings and ensure timely submission to the project consultant.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and support smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support during project planning, risk assessment, and scheduling stages
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- 5–7years of experience in construction project management or technical office functions.
- Proven experience in landscape and swimming pool projects is a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
