Role Description The Senior Talent Acquisition Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment activities for SQUARE Engineering Firm. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, developing accurate and inclusive job descriptions, and designing effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified talent. The role involves screening applications, conducting structured interviews, coordinating selection processes, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring journey. The Senior Talent Acquisition Officer will also maintain recruitment metrics, support employer branding initiatives, and ensure hiring practices align with company policies and local labor regulations. This position works closely with HR and leadership to build a sustainable talent pipeline that supports the firm’s ongoing projects and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in job description development, including defining role requirements and ensuring clarity, inclusivity, and alignment with organizational needs.
* Demonstrated experience in recruiting and hiring, including sourcing, shortlisting, and managing the full recruitment lifecycle for technical and non-technical roles.
* Skilled in conducting structured interviews and assessments, using fair and consistent evaluation methods to select suitable candidates.
* Previous experience in talent acquisition, ideally within engineering, construction, or related industries.
* Knowledge of recruitment best practices, labor laws, and compliance standards in Egypt.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and deadlines.
* Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR software, and common productivity tools (e.g., MS Office).
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; relevant HR or recruitment certifications are an advantage.
* Ability to work on-site in Cairo and collaborate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
