Role Description The Senior Software Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that power Rasēd’s fraud prevention and intelligence platform. Day-to-day tasks include implementing robust, scalable software solutions, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with product, data, and cybersecurity teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. The Senior Software Engineer will review code, mentor other engineers, enforce best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, improving reliability, and ensuring secure handling of data in a high-availability environment.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in software development and programming, with experience building production-grade services.
- Hands-on expertise in back-end web development and API design for scalable, distributed systems.
- Solid understanding and practical application of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with modern back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js) and relational/non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
- Background in fintech, fraud detection, data-intensive or security-focused systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor peers.
