Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer accounts, and promoting CONNECT’s integrated technology solutions.
The role will manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and opportunity qualification to solution positioning, commercial negotiation, and closing. The Sales Account Manager will work closely with Presales, Technical, Delivery, and other internal teams to ensure that proposed solutions address customers’ business and technical requirements.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in technology sales within a System Integrator or Technology Vendor, with a proven track record of selling multiple technology solutions and developing long-term relationships with enterprise customers and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets and customer segments.
- Research potential customers, industries, and market opportunities to generate qualified leads.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and continuously develop new opportunities.
- Conduct proactive customer outreach, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and business development meetings.
- Understand customers’ business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable technology solutions from CONNECT’s portfolio.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop account plans and sales strategies for key customers and target accounts.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Promote and sell CONNECT’s integrated technology solutions across multiple technology areas.
- The candidate should be capable of selling at least three of the following technology areas:
- Network Solutions
- Cybersecurity Solutions
- Computing Solutions
- Cloud Solutions
- Software, Portal & Application Solutions
- Low Current Solutions
- Managed Services
- Maintain strong knowledge of Cybersecurity, Computing, and Cloud Solutions, which are mandatory areas of knowledge for the position.
- Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with Presales and technical teams to develop suitable solutions.
- Clearly communicate the business value, technical benefits, and commercial value of proposed solutions to customers.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, market developments, and relevant vendor offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers at different organizational levels.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Act as a trusted point of contact between customers and CONNECT’s internal teams.
- Understand customer priorities and continuously identify opportunities to increase customer engagement.
- Ensure effective communication and follow-up throughout the sales and delivery process.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are properly addressed and commitments are fulfilled.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and support long-term business relationships.
- Prepare and coordinate commercial proposals in collaboration with Presales, Technical, Finance, and relevant internal teams.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with customers using a mutually beneficial approach.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and commercial agreements within approved company guidelines.
- Follow up on proposals, purchase orders, contracts, and other commercial requirements until closure.
- Ensure successful closure of opportunities while maintaining the required revenue and gross profit margins.
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and gross profit targets in line with the approved business plan.
- Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
- Track opportunities, expected closing dates, deal values, and probability of closure.
- Monitor sales performance and take appropriate actions to maintain pipeline coverage and achieve targets.
- Maintain accurate and updated opportunity and customer information in the company’s CRM and sales tracking systems.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
- Monitor market trends, customer demands, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Provide management with relevant market insights and recommendations.
- Identify potential strategic partnerships and vendor opportunities that can support business growth.
- Develop a strong understanding of the competitive technology landscape in the local and regional markets.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Technology Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with a System Integrator (SI) company or Technology Vendor is mandatory.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong experience in enterprise technology sales and business development.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and dealing with decision-makers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in the Egyptian market is required.
