This is a full-time 6 days a week on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- To handle all post-contract QS functions such as handling of interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, claims etc.
- Advise on contractual matters.
- Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
- Advice on Contractor’s resource allocation.
- Audit payments to Contractors.
- Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
- Check and record measure of work done.
- Prepare variations and day-works.
- Monitor contracts final cost estimate.
- Maintain expenditure records.
- Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
- Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
- Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Lead all commercial meetings
- Manage cost-control procedures as per Client requirements
- Administer payment certification / evaluations as per RERA procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years' experience; preferably at least 8 years in UAE.
- Experience on Villas & Townhouses Development projects is a must
- Knowledge of post contract administration.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with AutoCad/REVIT is preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Prism is preferred
