The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Private Banker to manage and develop relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, providing comprehensive private-banking solutions across investments, lending, liquidity management, wealth planning, and financial services.
The ideal candidate will combine strong financial expertise, commercial awareness, relationship-management capabilities, and sound risk judgment. The role will require a deep understanding of client needs, the ability to structure appropriate financial solutions, and the capability to coordinate internal and external specialists to deliver a seamless private-banking experience.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and manage long-term relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Serve as a primary relationship contact for assigned private-banking clients and family groups.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' financial objectives, investment preferences, liquidity requirements, businesses, family circumstances, and long-term priorities.
- Conduct detailed client discovery and financial-needs assessments.
- Develop relationship strategies and client-service plans based on individual client requirements.
- Provide comprehensive private-banking advice within approved products, services, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Advise clients on investment, financing, liquidity, cash-management, and wealth-management solutions.
- Coordinate with investment specialists to develop appropriate portfolio and investment solutions.
- Review client portfolios, asset allocation, liquidity, concentration, risk exposure, and investment performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio diversification and alignment with client objectives.
- Coordinate investment transactions and portfolio-related activities with relevant internal teams.
- Monitor client investment positions and communicate material portfolio developments.
- Provide clients with market updates, investment insights, and relevant financial information.
- Explain investment risks, market conditions, product features, and financial implications clearly and accurately.
- Structure and recommend appropriate lending solutions for eligible clients.
- Evaluate secured lending, investment-backed lending, mortgages, acquisition financing, and other approved credit solutions.
- Coordinate with Credit teams on lending proposals, credit assessments, approvals, documentation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Review client borrowing requirements and assess financing structures within approved risk parameters.
- Monitor loan facilities, collateral, covenants, maturities, repayments, and other relevant credit requirements.
- Identify changes in client financial circumstances that may affect credit exposure or repayment capacity.
- Coordinate collateral reviews, valuations, margin requirements, and lending documentation where applicable.
- Support liquidity-management solutions including deposits, cash management, short-term funding, and treasury services.
- Understand clients' liquidity requirements and coordinate appropriate banking solutions.
- Support clients with international banking requirements, cross-border transactions, and multi-jurisdictional financial needs where permitted.
- Coordinate foreign-exchange, payments, cash-management, and treasury solutions with specialist teams.
- Work closely with Wealth Management and Financial Planning teams on broader wealth strategies.
- Coordinate with Tax, Legal, Estate Planning, Trust, and other professional advisors where appropriate.
- Support clients with wealth-preservation, succession, estate, and intergenerational wealth considerations.
- Assist family clients with family-wealth structures, governance considerations, and long-term financial planning where appropriate.
- Develop integrated solutions for business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and family offices.
- Understand clients' businesses and coordinate appropriate corporate, investment, lending, and liquidity solutions.
- Identify opportunities to support clients through business acquisitions, disposals, capital events, refinancing, and other significant financial transactions.
- Coordinate with Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets teams where relevant to client requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client profiles, financial information, relationship records, and interaction histories.
- Ensure client information, objectives, risk profiles, product preferences, and financial circumstances are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Conduct periodic relationship reviews and document agreed client strategies and actions.
- Monitor client satisfaction, service quality, response times, and unresolved requests.
- Proactively identify changing client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, requests, and service requirements.
- Manage complex client issues and coordinate timely resolution with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive client, family, financial, and commercial information.
- Ensure all client activities comply with applicable banking, financial-services, suitability, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete and maintain required client due-diligence, know-your-customer, suitability, and periodic-review documentation.
- Ensure client recommendations and transactions are appropriately documented and approved.
- Monitor client relationships for potential compliance, conduct, credit, operational, and reputational risks.
- Escalate material risks, unusual activities, conflicts, or control concerns through appropriate channels.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Financial Crime teams on client-related matters.
- Maintain strong awareness of applicable private-banking regulations, internal policies, and risk frameworks.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, quality assessments, and control testing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients' professional advisors, family representatives, trustees, executives, and other authorized stakeholders.

Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in private banking, wealth management, investment banking, relationship management, financial advisory, or high-net-worth client services, preferably within a private bank, international bank, wealth manager, family office, or sophisticated financial-services environment.
