The Senior Planning Manager will work with the Project Team to develop effective programmes and ensure these are monitored within the performance and management framework established for the development, thereby ensuring overall team success for timely delivery of projects, while minimising claims and disputes between project stakeholders. He will lead, manage and motivate Planning Team as well as to make a high-level contribution to the Management team.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in either Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture or similar plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a planning / project management role
- Extensive experiential learning in the construction industry (15 years plus)
- Progressively increased responsibility over career duration
- Relevant projects of an appropriate scale (mixed-use residential, hotel, villas)
- KSA experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Implement best practice for planning functions in KSA branch, ensuring the availability of a forum for planning discussions and development
- Assist in compiling project proposals and offer advise on staffing allocations
- Manage IT and software requirements for the planning department and offer guidance to leadership in this regard
- Manage and motivate colleagues and the planning team
- Monitor training requirements for the Planning Team and make recommendations to leadership in this regard
- Develop initiation programmes and detailed plans for all development phases
- Develop an overall development project progress control system for all phases
- Effectively present project plans to stakeholders.
