Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Patch Management Lead to own and manage the end-to-end enterprise patch management lifecycle across infrastructure, applications, databases, network, security, and end-user computing environments.
The candidate will be responsible for patch governance, planning, prioritization, deployment coordination, compliance, reporting, and ensuring vulnerabilities are remediated within defined SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end patch management activities across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain patching policies, standards, procedures, and governance.
- Coordinate patching activities across Windows, Linux, AIX, VMware, databases, applications, network, and security platforms.
- Review vulnerability and security advisories and prioritize patches based on risk and criticality.
- Develop monthly/quarterly patching calendars and deployment plans.
- Coordinate patching activities with infrastructure, application, database, network, security, and business teams.
- Ensure patches are properly tested before production deployment.
- Monitor patch compliance and remediation against defined SLAs.
- Manage patch exceptions, risk acceptances, and compensating controls.
- Provide management dashboards and compliance reports.
- Lead patch-related incident management, RCA, and remediation.
- Ensure patch management processes align with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of patch management processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong enterprise patch management experience.
- Excellent understanding of vulnerability management and remediation.
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Linux patching, VMware, databases, and application patching.
- Strong ITIL/change-management knowledge.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as banking/financial services is preferred.
