Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer role is based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems and machinery, from concept through detailed design and implementation. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and resources, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to research and development activities, support testing and validation, and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and products.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to complex mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for developing detailed models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk mitigation for engineering projects.
- Background in Research and Development (R&D), including concept development, prototyping, testing, and design optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; familiarity with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools is an advantage.
