About the Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – HVAC & Refrigeration will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and minimizing equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration system failures and identify root causes.
- Maintain and monitor chillers, AHUs, FCUs, compressors, condensers, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and within required temperature and humidity levels.
- Prepare and follow preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinate with technicians and contractors during maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure proper availability of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and reduce unnecessary equipment consumption.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably Mechanical Power Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in HVAC & Refrigeration.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, compressors, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC controls.
- Ability to analyze equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience in supervising maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Good knowledge of maintenance planning and documentation.
- Familiarity with CMMS/maintenance management systems is a plus.
- Good understanding of HSE and safety procedures.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
