Role Description The Senior Lighting Designer will lead the design and development of comprehensive lighting solutions for a range of interior and architectural projects. This full-time, on-site role in Egypt involves creating lighting concepts, preparing detailed design drawings, selecting fixtures and control systems, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and interior designers. The Senior Lighting Designer will oversee project timelines, ensure compliance with technical standards, and contribute to presentations and client meetings. The role also includes reviewing shop drawings, performing lighting calculations, providing guidance to junior designers, and supporting continuous improvement of Be Light’s product and solution offerings.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in Lighting Design and Lighting, including concept development and detailed design documentation.
* Experience in Architectural Lighting, with a proven ability to integrate lighting solutions into building and façade designs.
* Background in Interior Design, with the ability to align lighting with spatial layouts, materials, and aesthetics.
* Proficiency in Lighting Control systems, including specification of dimming, automation, and smart control solutions.
* Relevant degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, or similar tools).
* Demonstrated experience in managing projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and meeting deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor and support junior team members.
* Previous experience in lighting design for residential, commercial, or hospitality projects is highly beneficial.
