Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in Cairo, Egypt, is for a Senior / Junior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer responsible for supporting the design, documentation, and coordination of mechanical systems in infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing mechanical drawings and layouts, assisting in system design calculations, and coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other disciplines to ensure consistency between design and implementation. The role involves reviewing technical specifications, bills of quantities, and shop drawings, as well as contributing to value engineering, material submittals, and technical reports. The engineer will also support resolution of technical issues, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and participate in project meetings and documentation workflows.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical systems.
* Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance to support long-term equipment reliability.
* Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related utilities).
* Proficiency in relevant engineering and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and MS Office.
* Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and best practices.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Prior experience in consultancy or infrastructure projects is an advantage, with senior-level roles requiring demonstrated project responsibility.
