About The JobSitech is a digital product company with a global talent pool, specializing in product discovery,
innovative experience design, and custom software development. We partner with enterprises
and startups to build scalable, high-impact digital solutions.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will
work across the entire stack — designing Django services that ingest high volumes of data
reliably, and building React micro-frontends that deliver a fast, accessible experience on top of
them.
This is a genuinely balanced role. We are looking for real depth on both sides, not a backend
engineer who can edit CSS or a frontend engineer who can write a view. You will collaborate
closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers on large-scale platforms,
including public-sector education systems where reliability, auditability, and reporting
performance are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Backend
- Design, develop, and maintain Django and Django REST Framework services and APIs.
- Build asynchronous data ingestion pipelines using Celery and a message broker,
decoupling ingestion from persistence so the system stays responsive under load.
- Own database performance: schema and index design, query optimization, aggregation
strategies, and materialized views for reporting endpoints that run over millions of
records.
- Ensure data integrity and full audit trails — no lost records, idempotent processing, and
correct handling of retries, failed tasks, and race conditions.
- Maintain a reproducible local environment with Docker and Docker Compose.
Frontend
- Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using React.js and TypeScript.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable, and responsive components.
- Build and maintain independently deployable micro-frontends, handling shared
dependencies, cross-app routing, and shared authentication.
- Build our new admin dashboard on Metabase, including data models, embedded
dashboards, permissions, and query performance.
- Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and RTL
support.
Across the team
- Architect solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Lead code reviews and uphold best practices across both stacks.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Participate in technical discussions, sprint planning, and architectural decisions.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production work on both
backend and frontend.
- Strong expertise in Python 3.10+, Django, and Django REST Framework, including
modern Python typing and PEP 8.
- Hands-on experience with Celery or an equivalent task queue, and with Redis or
RabbitMQ — including retries, idempotency, and failure handling.
- Solid relational database skills with PostgreSQL: reading query plans, choosing indexes,
and designing efficient queries for large datasets. Experience with MongoDB is a plus.
- Strong expertise in React.js, with proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5,
and CSS3.
- Solid experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, React Query, Context
API, etc.).
- Practical understanding of component-based and micro-frontend architecture, and of
modern frontend patterns.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks on both sides (pytest, Jest, React Testing Library).
- Comfortable with Docker, Docker Compose, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on Metabase experience, particularly embedded dashboards, sandboxed
permissions, and tuning slow queries.
- Open edX experience (micro-frontends, Tutor, Paragon, edx-platform) or another
large open-source Django platform.
- Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and internationalization, including Arabic and RTL layouts.
- Delivery experience in public-sector or otherwise regulated environments.
- CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Observability practice — structured logging, tracing, and meaningful alerting.
- Monorepo tooling (Nx, Turborepo) and Storybook.
