We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and operate the Cloud7 platform, iVolve’s multi-tenant cloud management platform that provides a unified control plane across OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and public cloud environments.
In this role, you will work across Java/Spring Boot and Angular, contribute to microservices-based architecture, and help deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready cloud solutions. You will also provide technical mentorship to other engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build REST APIs, domain logic, and asynchronous workflows.
- Design service boundaries, API contracts, and data ownership within a microservices architecture.
- Design and optimise relational and document databases, including schemas, indexing, and migrations.
- Implement authentication, authorisation, API versioning, and other security controls.
Frontend Engineering
- Develop and maintain responsive applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Build dashboards, self-service portals, and administrative interfaces.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Containerise applications and deploy services using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Work with Helm or Kustomize for application deployments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.
- Contribute to GitOps-based deployment practices.
- Implement and maintain production observability through logging, metrics, and tracing.
Quality & Production Support
- Write clean, secure, tested, and maintainable code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across the full technology stack.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to post-incident reviews.
- Participate in release management and production deployments.
Technical Leadership & Mentoring
- Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering and security standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Platform, SRE, and other teams to define and deliver solutions.
Additional Responsibilities
- * Provide technical input to Pre-Sales and Solution Architecture activities, including feasibility assessments and effort estimation.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decision records, and the engineering knowledge base.
- Participate in Proofs of Concept and evaluation of new technologies and tools.
- Work with Product Management and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience covering both backend and frontend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven production experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud.
- Experience with relational and document databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
