The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the integrity, accuracy and control of the organisation’s financial records. The role will take a hands-on lead in general ledger accounting, balance-sheet reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting and ERP governance, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and post journals in the ERP system, ensuring entries are accurate, complete, appropriately supported and recorded in the correct accounting period.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation, account reviews, reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items.
- Liaise with head office finance teams, auditors and system providers to resolve accounting queries, support audit requests and maintain effective ERP governance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes, journal workflows, reconciliation procedures and ERP data quality controls.
- Support preparation of financial information for internal stakeholders, enabling informed commercial and operational decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams to explain accounting information and resolve finance-related queries.
- Review the financial and accounting aspects of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, including coding, budget availability, Delegation of Authority compliance and the completeness of the supporting audit trail.
Requirements:
- Saudi National.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and management reporting.
- Proven experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and supporting schedules as part of structured month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or a similar finance platform.
- Experience in business partnering with non-finance stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Strong written and spoken English.
