We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer with a strong upstream oil & gas background to support the evaluation, optimisation and development of surface production facilities across our assets.
The Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for evaluating, improving, and developing surface facilities across the company’s oil and gas assets. The role focuses on resolving existing operational and technical issues, improving facility reliability and production performance, and supporting both near-term projects and long-term field development.
Key Responsibilities
- * Assess existing production, processing, storage, utility, and export facilities; identify constraints, integrity concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop practical solutions to operational issues, including production bottlenecks, equipment reliability problems, and facility capacity limitations.
- Prepare and review facilities concepts, design bases, process calculations, equipment specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Support field development studies by defining facilities requirements, evaluating alternatives, and recommending technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and execution plans for facility modifications and new projects.
- Review engineering work and vendor proposals; provide technical input during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- Ensure facilities designs and operations comply with applicable codes, standards, company requirements, and HSE practices.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and provide clear recommendations to management.
Qualifications and Experience
- * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in upstream oil and gas facilities engineering, operations support, or project execution.
- Broad knowledge of oil and gas production facilities, including separation, fluid handling, storage, utilities, and transportation systems.
- Experience with facility troubleshooting, debottlenecking, concept selection, and brownfield modifications.
- Ability to develop practical engineering solutions while considering operability, safety, cost, and schedule.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across technical and nontechnical teams.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

- * Experience supporting mature or developing fields with multiple concurrent operational and project issues.
- Experience preparing field development plans and strategies.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, partners, and government stakeholders
