As a Senior Executive – Creative and Merchandise, you will be responsible for...
- Developing seasonal and core merchandise concepts aligned with each park, attraction, brand identity, guest profile and approved commercial plan.
- Preparing creative briefs, mood boards, product specifications, artwork directions, packaging concepts and presentation materials for internal and external review.
- Managing the product-development process from initial concept and supplier briefing through sampling, costing, approvals, production follow-up and launch readiness.
- Coordinating intellectual-property, brand and stakeholder approvals, ensuring designs, logos, characters, colours, materials and product claims comply with applicable guidelines.
- Partnering with Sourcing and suppliers to obtain commercially competitive quotations, suitable materials, quality samples and achievable production and delivery timelines.
- Reviewing product costs, recommended retail prices, margins, minimum order quantities and commercial viability, recommending changes to protect sales and profitability.
- Creating and maintaining visual-merchandising standards, planograms, product stories, launch displays, signage and promotional presentation across assigned retail locations.
- Conducting store visits and visual audits, identifying presentation or assortment gaps and coordinating corrective actions with Retail Operations teams.
- Maintaining accurate trackers for concepts, samples, approvals, purchase orders, production milestones, deliveries, artwork files and launch status.
- Supporting range reviews using sales, margin, inventory, sell-through and guest feedback, recommending repeats, improvements, markdowns or discontinuations.
- Coordinating closely with Retail Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, IT and other teams to ensure merchandise and creative readiness for reopening, new stores and campaigns.
- Protecting brand consistency, product quality and creative standards while ensuring all work is being delivered within approved budgets, timelines and governance requirements.
What you already have...
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Product Design, Graphic Design, Fashion, Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in retail merchandise development, creative production, visual merchandising, product design or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience managing products from concept through sampling, approvals, costing, production and retail launch.
- Experience with licensed products, character merchandise, leisure, entertainment, theme-park or destination retail is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design tools, Microsoft Office and merchandise or project-tracking systems.
- Good understanding of materials, printing, packaging, product quality, supplier production processes, costing and retail margin principal.
