About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Developer – D365 Finance & Operations to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions and all business applications, with strong hands-on expertise in API-based integrations, data integration, dashboards, and business intelligence development using Microsoft Power BI, while ensuring high performance, scalability, security, and code quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Core Development: Develop and customize D365 F&O modules using X++, C#, .NET, SQL, Azure services, and Power Platform.
· System Integration & APIs: Design, develop, and support robust integrations between D365 F&O and external systems using REST APIs, OData, Web Services, Data Management Framework (DMF), Azure Logic Apps, and Azure API Management. Ensure secure authentication, error handling, monitoring, and reliable data exchange.
· Dashboards & Business Intelligence: Design and develop interactive business dashboards, reports, and KPI visualizations using Microsoft Power BI. Build and optimize datasets, semantic models, relationships, measures, and calculations using Power Query and DAX, and connect Power BI to D365 F&O and other enterprise data sources.
· Data & Reporting Solutions: Strong technical knowledge of database architecture, design, and data structures, with demonstrated ability to develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and performance optimization. Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining robust BI and reporting solutions using Power BI and SSRS, ensuring data accuracy, performance, usability, scalability, and alignment with business reporting and analytics requirements.
· Quality Assurance: Perform code review, performance tuning, integration testing, data validation, testing, and quality assurance for developed solutions, APIs, reports, and dashboards.
· Support & Troubleshooting: Provide post-implementation technical support and troubleshoot applications, integration, API, data synchronization, reporting, and Power BI issues.
· Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, integrations, reports, dashboards, and analytics.
Job Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Experience: 5–8 years of proven experience as a Technical Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or D365 F&O (mandatory).
· Integration & API Expertise: Strong hands-on experience designing and developing integrations using REST APIs, OData, Web Services, JSON/XML, D365 F&O data entities/DMF, Azure Logic Apps, and API Management. Experience with API authentication, error handling, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting is required.
· Technical Stack: Hands-on technical proficiency in X++, C#, .NET, and SQL.
· Power BI & Analytics: Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, Power Query, DAX, KPI design, drill-down/drill-through analysis, and performance optimization. Experience integrating D365 F&O and other enterprise data sources into Power BI is required.
· Reporting: Strong experience in SSRS report design and development, with the ability to determine when Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting approaches are most appropriate.
· Cloud & Power Platform: Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
· Cloud, Data & Power Platform: Solid knowledge of Azure Cloud Services, Logic Apps, API Management, Power Automate, Power BI, and data integration patterns. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Dataverse is a plus.
· Data & BI Development: Strong SQL skills and experience preparing, transforming, validating, and reconciling data for reporting and analytics. Ability to work with multiple enterprise data sources and ensure consistent business definitions across dashboards and reports.
