Role: Senior Data Governance & Data Quality Specialist
Job Location: Egypt (Cairo)
Role Summary:
We are hiring a senior specialist to lead our enterprise data governance and data quality framework. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on experience with Informatica EDC, Axon, and IDQ, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the enterprise data governance and data management framework.
- Load, validate, and manage data within the governance platform.
- Develop end‑to‑end data lineage for all data assets.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues and platform performance challenges.
- Assess and optimize database environments and performance.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define and implement new requirements.
- Design and develop ETL processes, scripts, and pipelines for analytical platforms.
- Provide technical support and ensure system availability.
- Document data capture processes to support reporting and analytics.
- Stay updated on emerging data platform technologies and best practices.
- Own project deliverables and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support team development.
- (Nice to have) Apply statistical/ML techniques for data discovery and similarity detection.
Must‑Have Skills
- 10+ years hands‑on experience with Informatica Suite (EDC, Axon, IDQ or similar).
- 10+ years software development experience.
- 10+ years database experience with strong performance tuning skills.
- Strong shell scripting experience.
- Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and data protection.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
