Occupation Description
The Contract Senior Engineer is directly accountable for managing the development of Pre and Post contractual project life cycle. She /he should issue all the contractual tender proposals and oversee the supporting processes. He / She will have a strong overall market awareness to provide pursuit recommendations and will be an active participant in the claim, commercial and contractual process. He/she has the ability to draft technical narratives and determine necessary qualifications to manage contractual risks.
Job Scope
- Pre- & Post-Contract Management: Lead preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and recording business contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tender & ITT Preparation: Prepare Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, evaluate bids, and conduct commercial and technical analysis.
- Contract Compliance & Monitoring: Monitor contract execution, implementation, and compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and industry standards.
- Risk Mitigation & Claims Support: Participate in the claims process, draft technical and contractual narratives, and help determine necessary qualifications to manage contractual risks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract terms, obligations, and clarifications.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist in identifying potential disputes and support resolution strategies under guidance, utilizing familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC) and Egyptian law.
- Standardization & Procedures: Support the development and improvement of internal contract management workflows, procedures, and standard contract templates.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate commercial comparisons, progress tracking reports, and documentation using advanced digital tools.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested according to the company’s policies and procedures.
Education and Most Common Work Experience Requested
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience, preferably in a similar Industry.
- Good command of both Arabic and English language and contract drafting in both languages.
- Excellent command of Microsoft and Excel to generate comparisons and reports.
