Role Description The Senior Civil Engineer will lead civil engineering design and coordination for infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards. This full-time, on-site role, based in Doha, Qatar, includes overseeing planning activities, preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports, and guiding junior engineers and designers. The Senior Civil Engineer will manage stormwater management designs, site grading, roadworks, and utility layouts, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and optimize project solutions. The role also involves participating in project scheduling, risk assessments, quality reviews, and providing technical input during tendering, construction, and commissioning stages.
Qualifications

* Strong civil engineering foundation, including Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills, with the ability to lead complex infrastructure and site development projects.
Experience in planning and coordination, including Planning skills for project phasing, resource allocation, and integration with other engineering disciplines.
Proficiency in Stormwater Management, including drainage design, flood mitigation, and hydraulic calculations aligned with local and international standards.
Demonstrated experience mentoring and coordinating Civil Engineers and technical staff, fostering collaborative and high-performance project teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; professional certification or chartership is an advantage.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent, hydraulic modeling tools) and strong technical report-writing skills.
Solid understanding of regional codes, standards, and permitting requirements applicable to Doha and the wider Gulf region.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on-site and coordinate with contractors and authorities.
Prior experience in major infrastructure, urban development, or municipal projects in the Middle East is highly beneficial.
