About the Opportunity
We are working with an international law firm that is looking to hire a highly skilled Senior Associate to join its Tax Practice. You will advise clients on a broad range of tax matters and provide full support to the Litigation team on tax-related disputes. This is an excellent opportunity to specialize in a growing area of law and help shape the development of the firm's tax capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, international tax structuring, and cross-border transactions
- Provide guidance on tax planning, structuring, and compliance with UAE and international tax regulations
- Prepare legal opinions, advisory notes, and client updates on evolving tax issues
- Support the Litigation team on tax-related disputes, including drafting submissions, preparing legal arguments, and coordinating with tax authorities
- Assist with the tax aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- Monitor developments in UAE and international tax laws and regulations, and share updates with clients and internal teams
- Collaborate across practice areas where tax input is required
- Mentor junior lawyers and trainees involved in tax work
- Contribute to business development through client presentations, seminars, and thought leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified lawyer with 5-8 years' post-qualification experience, preferably in a leading law firm or tax advisory practice
- Strong expertise in UAE and international tax law and advisory
- Experience assisting with or supporting tax disputes is an advantage
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality advice under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage
