What you'll be doing
- Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various clients
- Interact with clients to ensure that the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient and effective
- Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
- Understand and utilize GT’s Audit Methodology
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners as well as technical matters to both clients and upper management
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Be the primary contact with the client after the first kick-off meeting
- Communicate weekly with the manager on the work progress
- Work with manager on the audit strategy in the planning stage before fieldwork starts
- Monitor the budget of the engagements
- Prepare financial statements of the fieldwork
- Coach and train junior staff in a timely manner
- Meet periodically with the team and managers to stay up to date with any arising issues
- Be familiar with audit methodology and software of GT
- Act as a peer advisor to the new team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current and/or recent audit experience, preferably in a Big 4
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Economics
- Master’s degree in Audit is preferable
- CPA/ACCA/LCPA or IFRS certification are plus or aim to pursue professional certification
- Applied working knowledge of IFRS
- Good knowledge of accounting practices & processes
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
