FHENG Offshore is looking for an experienced electrical engineer specialized in substations. This is an in-office, full-time job.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, engineering, and technical coordination of substation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical engineering and design activities for high-voltage and extra-high-voltage substations
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and related design documents
- Work on the selection and specification of substation equipment, (power transformers, circuit breakers, protection systems, etc.)
- Coordinate with the team to ensure design integration
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, client requirements, and project specifications
- Ensure that engineering deliverables meet project schedules and quality standards
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client discussions
Minimum Requirements (must have):
- BE or MS in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in substations’ electrical engineering
- Affiliation to the OEA (Order of Engineers & Architects)
- Experience with relevant electrical engineering software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
Additional Requirements:
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
- Good knowledge in AutoCAD
