Position Overview
My client, an international leading law firm, are looking Senior Accountant will support the Finance Manager in running the day-to-day finance operations of the Riyadh office and will help with ad hoc projects as needed. The role works closely with the US and London finance teams to meet the Riyadh office’s financial management needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank transactions, including expense payments, revenue collections, and bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support client billing, e-invoicing and collections for the Riyadh office, working with the London-based Revenue Team
- Help submit client e-bills through local electronic billing systems and confirm they were submitted successfully
- Support month-end and year-end close, including accrual and adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations
- Gather the information needed to prepare local and country regulatory and tax filings, in coordination with the Finance Manager and the external consultant
- Coordinate financial and tax audits, providing the required support and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Firm policies and procedures
- Take on ad hoc assignments as needed
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 3 years of transactional finance experience, covering billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and payroll; law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Working knowledge of KSA accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal and regulatory requirements
- Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English
- Strong attention to detail, with analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly
- Strong customer service focus and commitment to excellence, with a motivated, proactive and confident approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and take ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to work with professionals at all levels while maintaining strict confidentiality
Technologies and Software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and Word skills
- Experience with Elite 3E, Coupa and Chrome River preferred
- Familiarity with online e-invoicing and banking platforms
